Christmas Breakfast Waffle Bar

Lay out a yummy spread of waffles, whipped cream, fruit, and your favorite toppings for Christmas breakfast!

Use Lehi Mills Belgian Waffle Mix to make a quick and delicious waffle batter! We used mini waffle irons to really pump up the cuteness factor, but you can always make thick, Belgian waffles and break them up into sections.

Waffle Bar Topping Ideas

The possibilities are endless! Here are just a few ideas of toppings that you can add to your spread:

  • Apples
  • Bacon
  • Blueberries
  • Canned Pie Filling
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Chocolate Shavings
  • Cranberries
  • Fruit Jam/Preserves
  • Hazelnut Spread
  • Honey
  • Lehi Mills Blueberry Syrup
  • Lehi Mills Maple Syrup
  • Lehi Mills Raspberry Syrup
  • Peanut Butter
  • Pomegranate Arils
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Raspberries
  • Sliced Oranges
  • Whipped Cream
  • Zest (orange/lemon)

A chocolate orange waffle would be so yummy and festive for Christmas morning. Just add nutella, orange zest, orange slices, and chocolate shavings to your waffle! Or, you could even forget the orange slices and add some pomegranate arils for a more fancy feel! Pomegranate and chocolate pair so well together.

Another fun idea is to make an epic peanut butter and jelly sandwich! You could add jam, real fruit, peanut butter, and bacon, between two waffles and dust it with powdered sugar. This one isn't for the faint of heart, but it might just become your new favorite Christmas breakfast!

How to Keep Waffles Warm in a Waffle Bar

One of the problems you'll run into when making a waffle bar is keeping all your waffles warm! Since you can only cook waffles one at a time in a waffle iron, you'll definitely run into that problem! If you want to keep your waffles warm, preheat your oven to 350 F while you're making the waffles. Once it's preheated, turn it off. Place a wire cooling rack in the oven and put your waffles inside until you're ready to eat.

If you have lots of guests, only put a few waffles out at a time so that they stay nice and toasty for those last in line!
